TEACHER LEADERSHIP
Schools need talented cores of “teacher leaders” – educators with the skills to lead collaborative professional learning experiences in schools. The Center is dedicated to providing multiple paths for teachers to develop the skills necessary to be successful teacher leaders.
To that end, the Center is proud to announce the launch of a new Masters Degree Program in Teacher Leadership, a collaborative project of Montclair State University, NJEA, and the Center. The new master’s degree program will include courses in leadership skills, contemporary professional development experiences, and instructional strategies. Graduates of the program will be prepared to assume leadership roles in the development of professional learning communities in their schools.
This exciting graduate program will begin in fall 2007. Applications will be available starting this spring. For information about admissions, pending state approval, please contact: Deborah Eldridge, Chair, Dept of Curriculum and Teaching at(973) 655-5187 or eldridged@mail.montclair.edu.
