Science. Mathematics. Computer Science.

Step #1 Free K-12 Courses

Free. Comprehensive. Aligned to National Standards.

Our free course materials are a good place to start exploring what we have to offer. You’ll find everything you need to learn K-12 and AP science, mathematics, and computer science in one place. No need to hunt down materials online.

These materials can be downloaded and used any time day or night...on a device or printed out.

They include:

  • Instructional presentations
  • Classwork and homework (with answer keys)
  • Labs

Step #2 Self-Study Courses

Learn independently. On your own time, at your own pace. Structured lessons.

For more support and structured learning, use these comprehensive online courses that are based on the same classes NJCTL uses to teach subject-area content to teachers to learn middle and high school mathematics, as well as AP physics, chemistry and computer science. A full list of courses is available here.

These courses are designed for you to learn at your own pace so you can quickly move through topics that you understand easily and spend more time in more challenging areas.

NJCTL’s approach to online learning is unique. The way it works is that each topic is introduced with a brief video explanation. This is followed by a question to test your understanding. You are then immediately told if you are correct and given access to a video showing how to solve the problem. This is repeated through a series of questions that helps you build their your understanding. Once that topic is complete, you go on to the next topic.

Our self-study courses are hosted on our Moodle platform and include the same content and instructional elements as our free materials from Step #1, plus:

  • Automatic Feedback and Videos for Formative Assessment
  • Virtual Labs
  • Auto-Graded Quizzes
  • Student Progress Bar

Move at your own pace and easily share your progress with your parents or teacher.

These courses are only offered to NJCTL Members. Click here to learn more and to join.

Step #3 Teacher-Facilitated Courses for Students

Transcript-Eligible. Asynchronous. NCAA Approved.

For more direct interaction with a teacher, courses are taught by NJCTL instructors who are certified teachers, with master’s or doctoral degrees. Teachers will grade your work and provide feedback about your progress.

These comprehensive online courses are based on the same classes NJCTL uses to teach subject-area content to teachers. They include everything you need to learn middle and high school science and mathematics, as well as AP physics, chemistry, and computer science. A full list of courses is available here.

Teacher-Facilitated courses include the same content and instructional elements found in Steps #1 and #2, plus:

  • Ongoing Support from a Certified Teacher
  • Teacher-Graded Virtual Labs
  • Proctored Exams with Teacher Feedback
  • Course Grade and Transcript
  • NCAA Approved High School Courses

The cost for these courses varies. Click here to see a full list of the courses and the costs.
